Five Good Reasons To Start A Mobile Dry Cleaning Business

Do you want to start your own business but don't know what business to start? Have you been spending a lot of time and energy on the matter but just can't come up with the answer?  This article aims to help you with your decision.

What seems to be holding you back? Fear of failure? Lack of funds? Limited time? or maybe all the preceding arguments and a few more thrown in for good measure. If you were a tradesman or a manicurist and wanted to start a business in your area, how hard would it be?  Would you be risking any more than your time if you decided to take on odd jobs on the side after your regular work day? You would simply offer your services to your friends and acquaintances and begin to grow your business from there.

Most of us however don't know which end of a hammer strikes the nail or the first thing about cutting and painting fingernails.

Enter the Mobile Dry Cleaning Business! Anyone with the ability to get along with others can start this business.
  1. You need no technical skills
  2. Mobile Dry Cleaning does not have to interfere with your present job
  3. It takes little or no investment to get started
  4. It is a service used by the majority of our population
  5. You can operate from your own home.
Look around you, many of the local drycleaners in your area don't speak English or very little, yet their retail stores are very busy and they have been in the same location for many years.  This fact alone portrays a successful business environment.
Look in the business opportunity section of your local newspaper.  How many dry cleaning businesses are listed for sale? If a business is successful, most times the proprietor will continue to operate even as an absentee owner.

If you have a strong desire to start your own business, but lack specialized skills and don't know what business works best for you, consider Mobile Dry Cleaning.  If you have questions and need answers, send an email to info@mobiledrycleaner.com and I will try to help.  Please be patient and allow a day or two for a reply as I will answer all questions personally and may need the extra time to respond.

Are You Ready To Start Your Own Business But Don't Know How?

Let me assume that you have made the decision to start your own business, have decided on the business you wish to start, have obtained all the legal and professional services, but just don't know how to get the business going.  What do you do?  How do you get your first customer.  If you have chosen a service business, the easiest and quickest way to get started is to approach family, friends, social and/or religious organizations you belong to, other businesses you patronize, and new home owners in that order.

You family and acquaintances can refer you to their friends and neighbors and those contacts can refer you to others.  I know you have seen the TV commercial that used to say "tell two friends and they each can tell two friends and they each can tell two friends, etc" and as they say this, the TV screen fills up with multiple faces as the numbers continue to grow. That can and does happen if you are persistent. When you start your business ask your first customer to recommend you to another.  Be persistent, show your appreciation for their efforts.  When people think they can help another, they are usually very eager to participate - especially early on.  We know this practice as referrals.  How many times have you referred a business, movie or restaurant to another?  How many of those have responded to your referral?

Believe me, starting a business does not require you to be a rocket scientist.  Do not compare your business to corporations or high profile businesses that have the pockets deep enough to hire the professionals, conduct market surveys, or use high end advertising agencies to promote their business.

Look at your business as an extension of yourself.  Operate within the framework of your ability and your resources.  If you can afford a direct mail program, or local cable TV advertising, then go for it. If you use these or other resources, measure your results.  Advertising can be expensive and you should regard it as an investment that gives you a return greater than the dollars being spent.

If, on the other hand, getting started is a problem yet to be solved and your resources are limited, keep it simple.  Have some business cards printed and distribute them to everyone you meet and always, always  ask the individual you give your card to if you can be of service to them.  Just handing out a business card is not going to make your phone ring.  Ask the recipient if you can be of service to them and nail down a time as to when you may "stop by".

Start with family and friends and acquaintances and go from there.  Don't feel as though you don't want to ask those you know to do you a favor and try your service.  If you do, you will be loosing the best opportunity you have to getting started.

Why People Buy And How to Apply These Reasons to Mobile Dry Cleaning

People patronize the businesses they do for an enormously wide variety of reasons. Often, it’s location, frequently, it is mere habit, but the prime reason is the buyers have confidence in the sellers. That is closely followed by the quality of the offering. And next comes service... defined as "anything the customer wants it to be." After service comes selection, and fifth comes price. To some people, fewer than 20 percent, price is the number one criterion. But those attracted by price make the most disloyal customers because they’re easily wooed away by somebody offering a still lower price. Solid businesses build on loyal customers. Possessed with that insight, they do all in their power to maintain loyalty.

Tap into this valuable information and tailor the above reasons for buying with the following list targeted to why people buy  personal services and you can make starting a successful  business a whole lot easier.

  • To make their work easier – a constant need to many people
  • To become more comfortable
  • To attract praise – because almost everybody loves it
  • To speed up their work – because people know that time is precious
  • To keep up with the Joneses – there are Joneses in everybody’s lives
  • To avoid effort – because nobody loves to work too hard
  • To become more efficient – because efficiency saves time
  • To protect their possessions – because they worked hard to get them
  • To be in style – because few people enjoy being out of style
  • To avoid trouble – because trouble is never a joy
  • To be organized – because order makes lives simpler
  • To save time -- because they know time is more valuable than money
  • To emulate others – because the world is teeming with role models
  • To feel superior – which is why status symbols are sought after
  • To be trendy – because they know their friends will notice
  • To be cleaner – because unclean often goes with unhealthy and unloved
  • To gain convenience – because simplicity makes life easier

There. Now that you understand the ways to win the hearts and business of your prospects, I think you'll have an easier job of winning sales and profits.
